Crusader Tours of Britain provide the delightful experience of visiting some charming destinations in
the company of fellow cricket devotees. Lush manicured grass with quaint pavilions under oak
trees surrounded by rolling rural backdrops typifies the traditional rustic scenery in the cradle of
cricket. Strong opposition from representative elevens, leading league clubs, old-style wandering
teams and village sides provide a well-balanced itinerary.
Memorable moments and quirky anecdotes will rest in your mind long after the journey concludes.
The Crusaders have visited the United Kingdom every second year since the inaugural trip in 1987,
which means 2021 will be the eighteenth occurrence.

Having played cricket in country Victoria for twenty years I didn’t know what to expect from a Crusader tour.
I had heard about the Crusaders through a couple of friends I played against at Bendigo Country Week. From the raining sessions to the travelling everything was well organised and once I joined the group everything went really well.
My first match was against the Italian National side who were preparing for the T20 world cup in Division 3 and after two more matches in Italy it was off to England.
The group itself was fantastic and I have made lifelong friends from the tour. The cricket was exciting and catered for all ages.In some matches I played; we had 14 and 15-year-old kids and older players into their 60’s all in the one side.
Some of the grounds we played at had to be seen to be believed, Arundel Castle was unbelievable and the ground at
Prestbury was something you will never see in Australia. All of the grounds had their own bit of character with the Eastcote ground having a huge tree 5 meters inside the boundary. We even played a match inside the confines of Windsor Castle against the Royal Household Cricket Club.
If you love cricket then I strongly recommend a Crusaders tour is something you have to do before your playing days pass you by.
There were even some fathers and sons on tour making that something they will never forget. I had the trip of a lifetime and loved every minute of it and would jump at the opportunity to do it all again.
